I think, or maybe want, it to be the 10mc that will betray him or their leaders might. That somehow they'll learn of some or all of his abilities and start down the path of "OMG Tatsuya is OP must Kill him," while all of his friends and people who know him will think that their parents and 10mc are wrong and shouldn't be following through on a plan to kill tatsuya. So Tatsuya is stuck between a rock and a hard place of using himself and his friends to fight back and save himself and everyone and start a new clan war, or to do something to allay their fears and bring a peaceful conclusion to the conflict.
I don't understand how Honoka still has feelings for Tatsuya especially when he told her that he is not capable of having feelings for her due to an accident during the Summer Holiday Volume. Additionally, I think Tatsuya is kind of a d-bag to let her keep hoping.
"It was revealed that Honoka is a descendant of the "Elements", who were Magicians present in Japan before the 8 Types of the 4 Branching Classifications of Magic was formed. Their specializations were based off the traditional Japanese elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, Light, and Thunder).
Honoka is a Magician capable of completely shielding her presence from view; a skill that cannot be mimicked by Starsmembers' magic.
It was mentioned that they introduced a factor of 'absolute obedience' in Elements' genes and so the descendants are excessively loyal, often to a person of the opposite gender, which may explain her attitude towards Tatsuya."
I wonder about that 'explosion'. :)
I have this feeling that Shizuka will help Honoka be alone with Tatsuya by separating him from Miyuki, kind of like what happened in Vol.05. Once Honoka and Tatsuya are alone, I think she will come on to him real strong. Honoka is usually a pretty shy person, but she can also be determined, and when she has it in her head to do something she will find a way to do it. I think this is especially true whenever it comes to anything involving Tatsuya. In the end it will be nothing but heartbreak for Honoka though.
I also think that Tatsuya is handling the whole Honoka situation badly. He doesn't want to hurt her, so he allows her to keep showing affection and loving him. This will only make it that much harder on the both of them in the end, especially for Honoka. On top of all of this, I bet it doesn't make Miyuki feel any better with the way he is handling the Honoka situation. They're engaged to be married, but Tatsuya still lets Honoka show romantic affections towards him instead of standing his ground and making her understand that they will never have that kind of relationship. I know he has said so in the past, but he has to make her understand even if it means doing it in a not so nice way, because clearly telling her nicely isn't working.
Sorry, I kind of rambled on and on for a little bit. I was just trying to get my point across about what I think of Tatsuya and Honoka's situation/relationship.
So eight more days until the probable release, can we expect an early chapter release like for the other volumes?
"Tatsuya meet up with 101 battalion but an unexpected magician who had once opposed him appeared instead."
The only guy I can think of is Joseph.
Since the volume describes Honoka's love as 'exploding', its obvious that she's going to do something, however, everyone seems to feel like she won't get anywhere.
As a mayumi shipper, i'd be more than happy to agree that Honoka is set up to fail, expecially when you compare Tatsuya's behavier with Miyuki (who he geunially loves even if he's manipulated to do so) or Mayumi (where there small and big signs in the books that show actually like/fall if circumstances where right) to how he deals with Honoka (who he out right rejected and now feels bad and awquard to be around since his engagement).
That being said, since it seems WAY too obvious that Honoka would fail in her pursuit this volume, The liklyness of her failure actually makes me question whether or not she will. Stories are filled with unexpected twists and turns, so Honoka actually makes some sort of ground and causing an upset to make her a major player in the Tatsuya ship would definetly be unexpected but also plausible.
Since Honoka refuses to give up on Tatsuya, and Miyuki even gave her her blessing for it, just imagine how upset Miyuki would be if Honoka actually gets a decent response from Tatsuya. Miyuki would be completly in panic and possible angered but she would have no one to blame but herself to allow it. What's more, since she knows all about Tatsuya being modified to only care for her, an obvious sight of Tatsuya caring for someone else would cause he to doubt the modifications on him, and also if she even had a real chance to win his love if he had no modifications at all.
With Maya having set Miyuki up as the leash to keep Tatsuya loyal to the Yotsuba, but also as the pinnacle for Tatsuya going beserk and destroying the world if something where to happen to her, what better way to start a "prolouge to disaster" arc than having Miyuki on an emotional tightrope?
Personally, i'd prefer Mayumi to make more ground on Tatsuya, but from what i gather she won't be making any apprearences since she's a collage student and this is a school trip.
