Plot[]
Everyone in the audience is waiting for the Mirage Bat final to begin. Ichijou Masaki discusses the anticlimactic feeling with Kichijouji Shinkurou who points out if First High win, then they’ve won the competition so for schools other than First and Third High, it is already over.
On the stage, Miyuki peps herself up ready to do her al for Tatsuya whilst Airi sees her friends Touko, Shiori and Saho who have come to support her but is disappointed she cannot see her family in the audience. Thinking back to her mother, Airi recalls being told to focus on what is important to her rather than the Isshiki family.
The countdown starts and the final match begins. Everyone is surprised to see all the other schools using Flight Magic as well, though the Shiba siblings had expected it. Nakajou Azusa and Saegusa Mayumi are concerned for the safety of the competitors, but Tatsuya reassures them it’s fine so long as the sequence hasn’t been tampered with.
The match is in full swing, but the other competitors cannot compete at all with Miyuki who has mastered Flight Magic, allowing her to dominate the match. Soon, the other competitors start reaching their limits and are brought down by the spell’s safety mechanism. Once it’s down to the last three competitors, First High have already won the competition and Airi starts to lose her resolve, but she spots her mother in the audience and it gives Airi the determination to push on and go down fighting. With Airi going all in, the match becomes much more heated.
The match hits a recess, and Airi is given a pep talk by Shiori whilst Miyuki explains her resolve to Tatsuya, stating she will be going all out. The match resumes and becomes a fierce competition.
Later on, Tatsuya heads out to deal with the leaders of No Head Dragon, the ones responsible for all the trouble in the competition.
Meanwhile, Miyuki and the other freshman girls are in the artificial hot spring when they are joined by Airi, Shiori and Touko, who joined them by coincidence. Airi cuts through the initial awkwardness by congratulating Miyuki on her win.
Meanwhile, Tatsuya one-sidedly assassinates the leadership of the No Head Dragon.
Back in the hot spring, the girls are mingling while Airi has a heart to heart with Miyuki, explaining she was awed by Miyuki’s talent and is glad as it has shown Airi her own potential. The pair resolve to face off again in next year’s competition.
The competition comes to a close and the closing party is being held for the competitors. Masaki discovers that the Shiba siblings are siblings, much to Shinkurou’s lament, and is removed by his mortified friend. Watching on, Asuza brings up that Tatsuya was the driving force behind First High’s victory and wonders what the course divide even means. Mari explains that it is all based on the entrance exam practical scores. Mayumi then adds that it is all due to the uniforms not being ready in time when the student base was doubled years earlier, and has never been corrected since, so the entire situation is based on a misunderstanding. Mayumi comments that she wants to do something about the situation before she graduates and ends by stating they cannot let Miyuki find out. Miyuki joins them and asks if they know where Tatsuya is. The tease her and say Juumonji called him outside, implying romantic connotations. Miyuki rushes outside and finds Tatsuya as Katsuto leaves, and rushes to Tatsuya to ask what he wanted. Inside, Mayumi explains Katsuto was offering a political marriage into the Ten Master Clans due to his defeating Masaki. Back outside, Miyuki asks for the last dance and the pair dance under the starts whilst discussing the competition.
January 2096. Shizuku is abroad in the USNA and a transfer student, Lina, appears at First High and is greeted by Miyuki and friends.
