Dengeki Bunko Magazine is released every 2 month.

Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei has had a number of stories released in Dengeki Bunko over the years. These consist of a number of canon short stories and a non canon cross over series partnered with Sword Art Online.

Double Seven

Running from Volume 28 in November 2012 until Volume 33 in September 2013, a series of 6 short stories was published which detailed the events of April 2096. These stories were later collected into Light Novel Volume 12.

Dream Game

This side story consists of three short stories, a prequel and two stories that crossover with Sword Art Online. This series was published in Dengeki Magazine from September 2014 to November 2014. These are considered non-canon and are separate from the main series. These follow on from the promotional story Dream Game which was included in the limited edition box sets of the first season of the anime.

Breaking Through the Limit Promotional Short Story Cards

Back in 2012, a series of promotional cards were released with the magazine. These cards contained promotional short stores with a theme of 'breaking through limits' and two of which were for Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei. The first, titled Breaking Through the Limits of Magicians is a stand alone discussion about the limits of magic, whilst the second, titled Breaking Through the Limits of a Joke, covers and exchange between the siblings which was later incorporated into the Halloween Party in November short story, released as part of the Reminiscence Chapter Audio Drama.
