so far only twice near the beginning. I may have missed a few due to my mind unconsciously ignoring them since I get the point that was being made.
... time rolls on...
I hate to ask, but I want to ask.. that which I must not ask.. of the translators
I hate to hear, but I expect to hear.. that which I did not ask .. of the other people
The sad part is that it is quite possibly could be never. Whilst mahouka follows the standard publishing form in japan and therefore the publishing there will be like most series are, regarding the translated works thanks to the widespread takedowns of the LN material alongside the fairly mediocre (compared to LN at least) response to the anime the people actively waiting for published translations will most likely drop off thanks to yen's standard slow freaking publishing speed.
What this will mean is that they will in all probability simply stop translating as interest drops, and getting to a volume as high as where we are before interest picks up again is frankly wildly unlikely.
Seriously, i can understand yen press operating with the crappy standards most japanese companies do relating to the internet, but this is just a stupid decision all around, how the hell can anyone at yen think this idiocy is a good idea? And think it's a good idea at such regularity they not only do it to series after series but use it as their standard operating procedure? Stupidity at a magical freaking level...
Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated. The group is not dead and we do plan on continuing with releases of mahouka. At least up to volume 19, we have no plans beyond 19. Yen Press releasing or catching up to mahouka (harr harr harr) is a non-issue to us. The only thing that will kill this group is a lack of active contributors. We need more active translators, plain and simple.
With that said, applications are open once again. Spread the word, far and wide. We accept Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean and Japanese translators. My contact mail is still mknrec@gmail.com
Thanks for the info MKnR Rec, I was just wondering how far you guys were going to trans til. My curiosity of volumes 17 and 18 are killing me D: lol. Keep up the good work and thanks! Wish I could chip in but I'm not at the level of being able to translate yet
Thanx for the update. Great work!!!!
It's become my daily routine to check in and to take a look at the status :) I'm addicted to this series. I just wished I could contribute but I myself do not speak Japanese but a friend of mine does very well I will ask her if she would be interested.
Again guys appreciate your work!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
