Barrier Magic is a group of Magic Spells that nullifies, blocks or reflects physical or magical attacks upon contact to protect its user or a specified area
Background[]
Barrier Magic has long existed and practiced by Ancient Magicians to serve as wards against evil spirits, monsters, djinns, demons and other various entities in different countries.[1] With the international tension caused by World War Three, protecting the capital is one of the top priorities of the Japanese Government which led to the development of the Magician Research and Development Institutes where Modern Magic emerges and research theme of the Tenth Research Institute is focused on developing Magicians specializing in various Barrier Magic. [2]

In addition to the Barrier Magic developed from the Tenth Institute, various Ancient and Modern Barrier Magic has emerged that is designed to protect against specific physical or magic attacks that are used by various families of Magicians.

Spirit Barrier[]
Spirit Barrier is used to ward of Evil Spirits like the Paranormal Parasite including the "demonic" waves they emit which could affect Magicians who highly sensitive to Psion that could cause them pain when exposed like Shibata Mizuki's Crystal Eyes.[3]
